With help from their Sandstorm family, the team orchestrates contact with the terrorists and dangles a hefty ransom that will never be paid. As Sandstorm’s con for the ages plays out in the endless sands of the terrorists’ unholy emirate, another deception unfolds behind the scenes. It’s a game of cat and mouse, and Kate and Nick and their friends learn the hard way that they’re the mice. 

All they were supposed to do was find the hostages and step aside for the rescue. But suddenly it’s personal, and Kate’s not leaving Mali until the job is done.
